DESIGNED TO MEET THE DEMANDS OF lE, MIL AND GOV PROFESSIONALS WORLDWIDE.

FENDCUFF® is a precision engineered device for connecting two nylon restraints (cable/zip-ties) together in a variety of configurations that allow for easy concealment and the capability to carry many at a time.

LOAD & LOCK

Primarily designed for key operated reusable nylon restraints the FENDCUFF® can also be used with disposable nylon restraints that have a maximum width of 10mm.

Loading the nylon restraint into the FENDCUFF® is a quick and simple process:
  1.  Insert the head of the nylon restraint into one end of the FENDCUFF®
  2.  Rotate the head until you see the strap channel in one of the smaller oval apertures
  3.  If using a reusable key operated nylon restraint, the keyway should appear in the larger oval aperture
  4.  Insert the tail of the nylon restraint into the strap channel
  5.  Push the strap inside the strap channel until the tail appears on the other side of the oval aperture
  6.  The teeth of the strap will engage with the pawl causing the nylon restraint to self-lock
  7.  The nylon restraints are now good to go!
Applying key operated reusable nylon restraints to a subject (detained/captured person):
  1.  Insert hands of the subject into each loop of the nylon restraint (front or rear)
  2.  Pull on the tail of the nylon restraint to cinch around the wrists of the subject
  3.  Check for tightness (you should be able to touch the tips of your thumb and index finger between the restraint and wrist)
  4.  Adjust in necessary (if too tight, release with a handcuff key and reapply)
  5.  Place subject under direct observation and supervise continuously, such as during transport
Applying disposable nylon restraints to a subject (detained/captured person):
  4.  If too tight, cut off the nylon restraint and reapply a new nylon restraint and check again for tightness
  5.  Place subject under direct observation and supervise continuously, such as during transport
Note: In the first hours of captivity, a subject may require their disposable nylon restraints cut off over 5 times! Some of the advantages of the key operated reusable nylon restraints are easy release with a universal handcuff key allowing for them to be reused up to 20 times. Key operated reusable nylon restraints have a tensile strength of 350 pounds.

GOOD TO GO

The FENDCUFF® can be loaded in a Double Loop/Butterfly or in a Figure 8 configuration.

Key operated reusable nylon restraints are numbered 1 and 2 just below the head. In the Double Loop/Butterfly configuration the keyways will be located on the same side if you load a number 1 and 2 nylon restraint. In the Figure 8 configuration the keyways will located on the same side if you load the same numbers (1 & 1 or 2 & 2).

Key operated reusable nylon restraints can be operated with most universal handcuff keys.
